Recently, longtime Scout Joseph Giordano took on a new position of leadership as the Troop's Webmaster. In order to fulfill the duties of this position, the Troop's website will be regularly updated with news on the latest trips and achievements. Our photo gallery will also be updated with new pictures of trips.


Welcome to Troop 191 of Avondale, Pennsylvania. Troop 191 is a Scout led, adult guided Scouting Troop, dedicated to developing youth leadership skills, self-reliance, and most of all, having fun while doing it. We have weekly Troop meetings, monthly camping trips, and yearly summer camp. We meet on Monday evenings at 7:00 at the Troop 191 Cabin: 700 Pomeroy Ave, Avondale PA, 19311. Please see our calendar for specifics on activities.
The Troop's Avondale cabin is also available to rent for Scout groups throughout the year. Please visit our cabin rental page for more information.

Troop 191 owns and operates a cabin in Avondale PA for rent to Scout groups throughout the year. The cabin, located at 700 Pomeroy Ave, Avondale PA, 19311, sits on a wooded 5 acre property, includes campsites, and has a large fire circle with benches for nighttime campfires.
The cabin has several large meeting rooms, a central room with bunks in the upstairs loft, and a full kitchen with bathroom facilities. The kitchen and bathroom wing is heated, with 3 wood stoves in the other areas for heat. Firewood is available on site for a charge of $50 for the weekend, or you can bring your own.
The cabin is a short drive from Longwood Gardens, Brandywine Battlefield, the Brandywine River and other local attractions. It is also only about a 30 to 40 minute drive from historic Philadelphia, Strasburg, PA (Railroad Museum) and other Lancaster County destinations.
